Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Engineer/Engineering Manager (Electronic Systems) to oversee development and improvement of our meteorological measurement systems. The ideal candidate has experience successfully leading development projects requiring software, hardware, and mechanical components. The ideal candidate should be comfortable “wearing many hats” in a small team environment. The workload is approximately 90% individual contributor work and 10% supervisory/management responsibilities
This is a full-time, on-site position in Rancho Cordova, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multi-disciplinary projects (electronic hardware, software, and mechanical) with notable risk and complexity and develop the strategy for project execution
- Solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the company and product
- Perform design and implementation tasks associated with developing electronic hardware, embedded systems, software, and system integration solutions.
- Design and implement product improvements based on external and internal feedback. Guide engineering team in implementing product improvements.
- Develop and manage product roadmaps, milestones, and delivery schedules with input from senior management.
- Recommend and implement improvements to engineering related processes including but not limited to development, testing, production, and deployment
- Serve as engineering representative for product development and delivery. Work with sales, production, documentation, customer service, etc. to ensure product success.
- Guide/lead less experienced engineers
Minimum Qualifications
- US citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
- Strong experience with modern technology (cloud infrastructure, AI/ML, IoT, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
- 7 years of experience in electronics engineering or related field
- 2 years of experience in an engineering leadership or product management role
