Job Overview
Looking to hire an energetic, hardworking candidate to join our team.
The position will be a hands on labor position in the civil construction trade including the following types of work-sewer and water, grading, storm drain, landscaping, hardscaping, brickwork, masonry, and concrete.
This position can be an entry level position for the right candidate as well as am opportunity for experienced candidates. Pay will be based on experience.
Candidate must have the following to be considered for the position:
reliable transportation
clean background
ability to pass drug test
Duties
- Assist with the preparation of construction sites, including clearing debris and setting up safety barriers
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, and assembling materials
- Support concrete activities by mixing, pouring, and placing concrete.
- Carry out heavy lifting of materials and equipment to ensure smooth workflow on-site
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment
- Perform general site cleanup and organize tools and materials to maintain an efficient work area
- Must understand the importance of customer relationships and represent the company is a good manner at all times.
Experience
- Prior experience working on construction projects or in a similar labor-intensive role is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated newcomers
- Hands-on experience in masonry is highly desirable
- Ability to work around heavy equipment in a safe manner is required. Heavy Equipment experience not required. On the job training can be available.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy machinery such as concrete mixers and pumps safely and effectively
- Understanding of construction site safety regulations and best practices for hazard prevention
- Strong physical stamina for working outdoors in various weather conditions; ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
