Sales Representative – Electronic Security SolutionsOverview
We are seeking a driven and customer-focused Sales Representative to join our growing electronic security team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and integrated security systems. This role is best suited for someone who thrives on building relationships, identifying client needs, and delivering tailored security solutions to small and medium commercial clients as well as high-end residential customers.
You’ll play a key role in expanding our customer base and maintaining long-term client relationships while ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to professionalism, integrity, and safety.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain client relationships with business owners, property managers, builders, and homeowners in assigned territories.
- Identify and qualify new sales opportunities through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and site visits.
- Conduct on-site consultations and security assessments to understand client requirements and design effective solutions.
- Prepare and present detailed proposals that include system design, scope of work, and pricing.
- Collaborate with operations and technical teams to ensure accurate system design, installation, and customer satisfaction.
- Follow up on leads and maintain active communication with prospects throughout the sales process.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals through consistent pipeline development and closing strategies.
- Stay informed about new technologies, products, and industry trends to position the company as a trusted expert in electronic security.
- Participate in marketing and networking activities to promote brand awareness within target markets.
Qualifications
- Proven success in outside sales, preferably within security, low-voltage, or technology industries.
- Knowledge of access control, CCTV, alarm systems, or related security technologies strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical clients.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of managing a sales pipeline independently.
- Proficiency in CRM software (such as ConnectWise, Salesforce, or HubSpot) for tracking leads and opportunities.
- Ability to read basic construction drawings or system schematics is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client visits.
- Professional appearance and demeanor suitable for interacting with commercial and luxury residential clients.
