Program Oversight And Management
Collaborate with the Executive Director to provide leadership and oversight for all regional workforce development programming administered by the organization.
Develop and implement strategic priorities for the organization and the local workforce development system, ensuring alignment with the organizations goals and regional workforce needs.
Conduct labor market analyses to ensure workforce programming aligns with employer demands and industry trends.
Coordinate with community partners to ensure that workforce development initiatives are relevant and impactful.
Workforce Development Board And Local Workforce System
Support the Executive Director in managing the technical assistance to ensure WIOA compliance.
Lead the development and implementation of the quadrennial Local Plan for the Capital Region Local Workforce Development Area (LWDA), collaborating with neighboring LWDAs to update the Capital Regional Plan.
Facilitate coordination among WIOA One-Stop system partners and system operator, ensuring alignment and efficiency in service delivery.
Sit on the Workforce Development Boards Policy and Oversight committee, serving as technical expert and providing reports on activities.
Workforce Performance And Evaluation
Monitor regional performance metrics, including Primary Indicators of Performance negotiated with the NYS Department of Labor.
Develops monitoring tools to analyze program data and develops program outcome reports.
Prepare and present comprehensive performance and labor market reports to internal and external stakeholders.
Identify and pursue opportunities to enhance workforce system performance through non-WIOA funding sources.
Technical Assistance And Reporting
Oversee and coordinate technical assistance and compliance with WIOA, federal, state, and local regulations
Assists with the administration of non-WIOA grants procured by the organization
Develop and deliver training for staff, subrecipients, and other workforce system partners to maintain high standards of technical compliance.
Workforce Training Activities
Oversee the coordination of Individualized Training grants (ITAs) and On-the-Job Training (OJT) contracts, ensuring effective use of WIOA and other funds to close skill gaps for in-demand careers.
Maintain the LWDAs Eligible Training Provider List, ensuring diverse and quality training options for individuals.
Align training initiatives with labor market demands and regional skill gaps.
Represent the Executive Director in various meetings and events tied to workforce development services.
