What are the responsibilities and job description for the Class A Equipment Heavy Haul Driver position at CAPITAL PAVING & CONSTRUCTION LLC?
Capital Paving is seeking Class A Equipment Heavy Haul Drivers for our commercial paving crews in the Springfield, MO area. Successful candidates should have Haz Mat endorsement and a clean driving record. Some prior experience driving in a construction setting is desirable.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate regularly with dispatcher.
- Ensure a safe work environment while maintaining compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
- Driver will be assigned loads, report as directed to job site, and complete a work order daily for that job.
- Driver is expected to perform daily truck inspections.
- Maintain truck logs or time recordings.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid CDL Class A-Hazmat
- Clean driving records
- Must be punctual, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a good attendance record.
- Previous experience driving experience.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent communication skills to interact at all levels.
- Work overtime, nights, weekends, as needed.
- Willing to travel/work out of town.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
