Paid Media Principal Associate| Retail Bank

Capital One, a Fortune Magazine “100 Best Companies to Work For,” is seeking an innovative Principal Associate to join our Retail Bank Marketing team. This role is responsible for driving acquisition efforts within a performance marketing team, specifically concentrated on paid search.

Responsibilities:

• Paid media channel performer- focused on one of our flagship products
• Ownership of paid media performance across assigned products - keeping steady pulse on performance against goals
• Proposing, vetting and validating optimization recommendations from agency partners
• Ensuring operational excellence in execution from partner agency
• Key contributor to channel level testing agenda - partnership with measurement and partner agency teams to develop storytelling deliverables
• Partnering within team to identify new partners or tactical advancements within current partner set - working to gain buy-in from key internal stakeholders and developing testing agenda to validate
• Key partner for bi-annual planning - validating and providing input into briefing and ensuring tactical pull through
• Partner with strategy and creative teams in providing creative briefing for asset development
• Stay current with all advancements in digital marketing and industry-related topics
  
  

This Associate should bring:

• Hands on experience in paid platforms across acquisition and awareness based campaigns
• Passion for emerging trends across the digital marketing landscape
• An entrepreneurial spirit, initiative, leadership, creativity, balance of proactive and reactiveness, and drive for results
• Able to manage the details of multiple projects, deadlines, and changing priorities simultaneously while maintaining excellent and accurate work
• A curious mindset, ready to dig in on consumer attitudes/behaviors/trends and draw implications for marketing
• Highly effective communication skills with outstanding writing, editing, and presentation abilities
• Strong working knowledge of Google Suite (Sheets, Docs and Slides)
  
  

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience
• At least 5 years of experience in paid media or paid search
• At least 5 years of experience in planning, execution, and analysis of paid digital programs
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment
• 3 years of experience in financial services marketing
• Experience managing client and partner relationships or account management
• Google and Bing Ads certified

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Riverwoods, IL: $109,900 - $125,400 for Principal Associate, Marketing

McLean, VA: $120,800 - $137,900 for Principal Associate, Marketing

Richmond, VA: $109,900 - $125,400 for Principal Associate, Marketing

Wilmington, DE: $109,900 - $125,400 for Principal Associate, Marketing

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
