Capital Materials is seeking a Skid Steer Operator to join our team at our Linn Creek, Missouri quarry. This position plays a key role in supporting daily quarry operations, including material handling, site cleanup, and production support.
What You’ll Do:
- Operate a skid steer and other light-to-medium equipment safely and efficiently in a quarry environment
- Load, move, and stockpile aggregate materials such as rock, sand, and gravel
- Assist with site cleanup, plant support, and general quarry operations
- Perform routine equipment inspections, maintenance, and cleaning to ensure safe operation
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals
- Operate small equipment and tools such as jackhammers, tampers, and other power tools
- Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and other manual equipment
- Follow all MSHA and company safety requirements at all times
- Perform general labor duties as needed and assist other team members
- Adapt to changing job responsibilities and support other tasks as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience operating skid steer, loader, or similar heavy equipment preferred
- Quarry, construction, or aggregate industry experience a plus
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.)
Schedule & Requirements:
- Full-time position
- Overtime, nights, and weekends as needed
- Reliable transportation required
- Willingness to travel or work out of town if necessary
- Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
