What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asphalt Crushing Operator position at CAPITAL MATERIALS LLC?
Capital Materials is seeking a skilled, reliable Crushing Plant Operator to join our third-generation family-owned company. This position will require travel to multiple asphalt plant locations around Missouri.
Responsibilities:
- Start up, operate, and maintain crushing plant in a safe and productive manner
- Recognize and perform maintenance on the crusher, shaker, and conveyors, to meet health and safety regulations
- Replace bearings, gear boxes, motors, screen cloth, conveyor belting, etc.
- Perform daily area safety inspections
- Communicate with all crew members involved with production
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Travel Required
- 5 years’ experience running a crusher
- 2-5 years asphalt plant operator and maintenance experience
- Welding certifications are a plus
- Must be able to work 10-12 hours days, overtime, and occasional Saturdays, when necessary
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Self-motivated with a solid work ethic
