Capital Insight Management is a diversified real estate investment firm specializing in hospitality, retail, and residential properties. In addition to managing our real estate portfolio, we provide family office accounting services, including trust and estate-related financial oversight. We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support accounting operations across our real estate investments and family office functions.
Position Summary:
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for accounting and financial reporting for several trusts, other investments, and will assist the Senior Accountant with the company's real estate holdings. This role requires great technical accounting skills, familiarity with both GAAP and cash basis reporting, and the ability to deliver accurate and timely financial information to management and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Family Office & Trust Accounting:
Maintain accounting records for trusts and other family office entities in compliance with applicable regulations.
Record and monitor investments, distributions, and other transactions related to family office accounts.
Prepare financial reports and schedules for trusts and other family office entities.
Real Estate Accounting:
Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheets, and tenant deposits.
Assist the Senior Accountant with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for a portfolio of properties.
Support tax filings, compliance reporting, and audits for real estate entities.
General Accounting & Administration:
Coordinate with third-party property managers, tax advisors, and legal counsel as needed.
Assist in maintaining accounting policies and procedures to support efficiency and internal controls.
Assist with ad-hoc projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2–4 years of accounting experience, with preference for family office, public accounting, and/or real estate backgrounds.
Familiarity with GAAP and cash basis accounting; trust accounting experience a plus.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits:
$75,000–$95,000, plus discretionary bonus
