Fire Safety Coordinator:
Summary:
This position assists Safety Coordinator/Manager with Fire related items listed below.
Job Responsibilities:
Monitoring and ensuring fire code compliance of:
- Barriers placed in front of exits
- Construction impediments of egress corridors and exits
- Freight containers placed in hazardous locations near electrical infrastructure or in front of exhibit hall dock exits
- Freight bins containing “scrape lumber” and other combustible materials stored inside the building in the dock areas, “boneyards”.
- Interior exhibit hall emergency exit access is blocked
- Maintaining “fire wall” door access and monitor fire door propping
- Monitoring occupancy rates
- Propane use and storage
- Propane fueled forklift operation periods, propane tank installation and dismantling, and storage of tanks
- Combustible fuel powered vehicles must have less than 25% fuel capacity placed on display inside the facilities
- Electric Vehicle (EV) placed on display inside the buildings
- Lithium-Ion battery use/charging/storage
- Maintaining and use of emergency lanes
- Alarm audibles turned off for special circumstances (i.e. smoke machines, combustible fuel engine use, other smoke creating tools)
- Use of welding or “hot” cutting
- Use of Pyrotechnics
- Use of helium inside the building
- Food preparation and use of combustibles
- Fire Extinguisher Inventory and Maintenance
- Automated External Defibrillator (AED’s) Inventory and Maintenance
- Evacuation Chair Inventory and Maintenance
- Schedule Fire Marshals/Fire Watch staff
