What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Capital Improvements and Systems position at CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BOARD?
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for administration of all facility renovations and construction projects; oversees management agreements and leases regarding CIB facilities, provides administrative supervision of the IT department. Accountability is to the Executive Director.
DUTIES:
- Oversee and support operating/management agreements and leases regarding CIB and MCCRFA real estate, facilities, capital improvements, technology systems, and other assets.
- Coordinate construction and/or renovation of CIB facilities.
- Interact with contractors to coordinate all capital projects.
- Plan, coordinate, and establish project delivery for projects, including supervision, inspection and closure of projects.
- Establish and manage construction design process, plans and strong relation with design professionals and all contractors and subcontractors.
- Interact with vendors for improved methods and procedures.
- Oversee budget, procurement, integration, and operation of information technology systems, and supervise IT department personnel.
- Maintain preventative maintenance programs for CIB assets under operating/management agreements and/or leases.
- Prepare department budget for capital projects and building needs.
- Select and maintain qualified personnel in all direct-report personnel .
- Make recommendations related to hiring, firing or other changes in employee status.
- Other duties or special projects as assigned by Executive Director.
