Position Overview

Manages a staff responsible for developing and implementing patient safety program that focuses on high reliability and Just Culture. Participates in developing the strategic roadmap for patient safety, and collaborates with director and clinical/ medical leaders to provide leadership in the culture of patient safety identifying opportunities and strategies for patient safety. Serves as an advocate for patient safety by leading high reliability programs that focus on Just Culture to reduce patient risk and promote systems that foster a culture of proactive patient safety. Analyzes detailed patient-related errors and conducts analysis for management detailing the cause of the error. Recommends changes, policies, or programs that could mitigate and/ or prevent future errors. Provides feedback to clinicians, assisting them in identifying and addressing areas of improvement to promote patient safety. Attends presentations and training programs meant to increase awareness of patient safety initiatives.
