Education
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED.
Experience
Previous work experience in a medical or healthcare setting preferred.
Other Credentials
AHA BLS. Non-Licensed must obtain before end of orientation period
Knowledge And Skills
Knowledge of basic medical terminology. Proficient in English. Verbal and written communication skills.
Special Training
CPR.
Mental, Behavioral And Emotional Abilities
Ability to communicate with hospital staff. Uses discretion and courtesy when working with staff and visitors.

Essential Functions
- Stocks patient care supplies and equipment required for the Hospital at Home program. Maintains a well cleaned, organized environment.
- Works with department leadership to establish and maintain adequate par levels of storeroom supplies, including special order items and downtime forms.
- Checks supply expiration dates, rotation of supplies and maintenance of supply area for cleanliness.
- Establish and maintain adequate par levels of Durable Medical Equipment (DME), including but not limited to patient commodes, walkers and oxygen delivery devices.
- Establish and maintain adequate par levels of remote patient monitoring devices.
- Ensure all equipment is clean and in proper working order prior to being deployed for patient use.
- Contacts other departments, such as Clinical Equipment, Central Supply, and Maintenance for assistance as appropriate.
- Demonstrates excellent customer service skills in dealing with patients, visitors, and health care team members.
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal working relationships and works cooperatively with healthcare team members.
- Identifies malfunctioning equipment and notifies appropriate personnel.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
