Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Office Manager, located in Fairfax, VA. Responsibilities include:
-Oversee the daily workflow of the office
-Recruit, interview, and hire all office personnel
-Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations
-Track invoices, oversee accounts payable and manage daily deposits
-Timely submit employee payroll and process monthly contract-providers' salaries
-Ensure compliance with internal policies and healthcare regulations such as HIPPA and OSHA
-Maintain provider licensing and credentialing
-Maintain office inventory, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships
-Maintain office equipment, schedule and coordinate routine maintenance and office repairs
-Monitor billing and collection of patient accounts, cash posting or claims processing, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
-Plan and administer policies and procedures governing the collection of revenue from patients or other payers
-Negotiate and maintain contracts with healthcare insurance companies
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Medical Office Manager or similar role in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and documentation requirements
- Familiarity with utilization management principles and practices
- Experience working with practice management and electronic health record systems
- Understanding of managed care concepts and insurance billing processes
- Experience negotiating insurance contracts
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite
