To strive toward our mission, Cap Endo’s Madison WI office is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to be the front-line point of contact for patients and referring offices. You’ll be the first person a patient speaks with on the phone and possibly the first person they meet when they arrive. Coordinate, integrate, and represent all facets of patient services, from the first call through the completion of treatment and necessary follow-ups. You’ll also responsible for managing the doctor’s schedule in a way that meets the practice’s efficiency and production goals.
Responsibilities
- Answer phones, schedule patients and triage patient and referring doctor calls appropriately.
- Anticipate patient needs or concerns and address them in advance (including other team members and/or management, if needed)
- Verify the patient's information to ensure billing and patient records are correct.
- Review insurance estimate with the patient with absolute clarity and have patients sign, indicating they are aware of the fee we will collect at the end of the appointment.
- Assist new patients with completing the necessary paperwork to receive services and help existing patients verify their health history.
- Enter additional information into the computer and verify all existing information.
- Collect any balance due for the appointment or past due balances.
- Post payments to the patients account and print a detailed receipt (if needed).
- Make any necessary follow up appointments for the patient.
- Attach treatment plans for patients returning for future appointments and add any necessary notes to the appointment.
- Answer any financial questions a patient may have when applicable.
- Review Insurance/No Insurance estimate with patient prior to appointment.
- Secure a signed estimate for each patient needing treatment - give the patient a copy for future reference.
- Understand insurance coverage and be able to explain to patients who we are IN and OUT of Network with.
- Post payments to the patients account and print a detailed receipt.
- Make proper notes in account regarding any changes to fees, discounts or payment arrangements.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience working in a high-volume clinic setting providing scheduling and patient support or similar experience
- Strong time management skills
