Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Counter Sales role. The Counter Sales team member will assist walk-in and call-in customers with product selection, pricing, and order entry, ensuring accurate and efficient service at the sales counter. Responsibilities include quoting and processing orders, answering product and availability questions, preparing paperwork and tickets, and coordinating with the warehouse for pickups and returns. The role will involve maintaining a clean, safe, and organized counter area, merchandising products, and monitoring stock levels to support sales opportunities. The Counter Sales team member will also collaborate with inside and outside sales, participate in product training, and follow company policies and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact professionally with a diverse range of customers and team members.
- Sales and basic Sales Management capabilities to identify customer needs, recommend appropriate products, and support branch sales objectives.
- Ability and willingness to participate in Training on electrical products, systems, and company tools to stay current on offerings and solutions.
- Prior experience in counter sales, retail, or distribution (electrical or industrial products preferred).
- Basic knowledge of electrical products or willingness to learn technical product information.
- Comfort using computers and point-of-sale/ERP systems for order entry and inventory lookup.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely handle, move, or lift products as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational coursework is a plus.
