OPEN POSITIONS:
HEAD LIFEGUARD – $17.42/hour
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- HS/GED with some college preferred.
- Minimum two years of experience as a swim instructor and lifeguard.
- Minimum one year in a supervisory role.
- Current First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification.
Available Shifts:
Monday - Friday 9am-1:15pm and Sundays 12pm - 6pm preferred but flexible
Full Time: 60 hours biweekly
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (ALL POSITIONS):
- Minimum age of 16 or older (with valid NYS working papers for minors)
- Ability to maintain certification-level physical and mental readiness
- LIFEGUARDS: Must have a valid lifeguard certification (within 30 days of hire) and demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards
- Be able to pass the CDYMCA swim test, as administered by the Aquatic Director or designated individual
- Basic computer skills, with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to relate to diverse groups in the community
- Basic life support or professional rescuer CPR/AED, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Administration (completed within 30 days of hire)
- New Employee Orientation, Sexual Harassment, ALICE (Active Shooter), and Bloodborne Pathogens trainings (completed within 90 days of hire)
