Capital District Regional Off-Track Betting Corporation is a public benefit corporation formed in 1971. Capital OTB provides legalized wagering on horse racing and lottery products with all profits distributed to local governments and the racing industry. Over a span of 30-plus years the corporation has 14 branches and more than 32 EZ Bet locations throughout New York State from the Canadian border, to the Catskills, east to the Massachusetts and Vermont borders and west to the Madison and Cortland counties.

Capital District OTB is looking for a dependable Branch Manager to manage our location at our Green Island facility. We are looking for someone with cash handling experience and superior customer service experience to join our team. The Branch Manager responsibilities include assisting customers with placing wagers on horse racing from around the globe. The Branch Manager will provide a positive experience with friendly and courteous service while providing racing entertainment to our customers. The Branch Manager must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes working weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Sell or cash tickets in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Sell Lottery tickets.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Maintain and balance the cash drawer.
• Perform daily reconciliations of branch activity.
• Administer bank deposits and oversee the security of the branch facility and training of new branch staff when necessary.
• General oversight of the branch facility including the overall cleanliness of the branch facility.
• Educate customers on how to wager at self-service terminals.
• Providing outstanding customer service and entertainment to our patrons
• Maintain the operations of the store while following all rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have reliable transportation in order to make secure bank deposits.
• Experience handling cash and cash register transactions with the ability to make change.

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour.

Schedule: Full-time, five days per week, 11:00am – 7:00pm (Subject to change). Weekends required.
