What are the responsibilities and job description for the Low Voltage Technician - Automatic Doors & Access Control position at Capital Displays?
We are seeking a hands-on Field Technician to support installation and troubleshooting of automatic door systems and access control. This role includes work on systems such as Horton operators, card readers, maglocks, and low-voltage wiring in residential and light commercial environments. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of delivering clean, professional installations.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair automatic door systems (e.g., Horton, Dormakaba, Assa Abloy etc.))
- Install and wire access control devices (readers, strikes, controllers)
- Run and terminate low-voltage cabling (Cat6, control wiring)
- Perform clean, organized installations and basic system setup
- Work independently on-site and communicate clearly
Requirements:
- Experience with low-voltage systems (access control automatic doors)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
