Capital Compounding is an independent compounding pharmacy that prepares customized medications for patients and prescribers. We are looking for a motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a role focused primarily on prescription data entry, with the opportunity to learn every aspect of our pharmacy.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys accuracy, organization, and learning. While your primary responsibility will be entering prescriptions, our goal is to train you throughout the pharmacy so you develop a complete understanding of the compounding process. One of the most rewarding parts of the job is learning pharmaceutical formulation. You'll discover how medications are designed by understanding the physical and chemical properties of active drug ingredients and excipients. What You'll Do
- Enter prescriptions accurately and efficiently into our pharmacy management system
- Verify patient and prescriber information
- Communicate professionally with healthcare providers and patients when needed
- Assist with workflow coordination and administrative tasks
- Learn pharmaceutical compounding techniques and formulation principles
- Develop an understanding of the physical and chemical properties of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and excipients, and how they interact to create stable, effective medications
- Assist in preparing customized medications under pharmacist supervision
- Learn quality assurance, inventory management, and pharmacy operations
- Work closely with pharmacists and technicians to ensure exceptional patient care
