Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Write detailed service orders, including auto estimating for repairs such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs
- Communicate clearly with technicians regarding diagnostics, mechanical issues, and repair procedures
- Upsell appropriate services and maintenance packages to enhance vehicle performance and customer satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments securely
- Maintain detailed records of all service activities, parts used, and customer interactions
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote additional automotive services or sales
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a solid understanding of automotive diagnostics and repair processes
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems including transmissions, suspensions, brakes, tires, oil changes, alignments, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repair
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
- Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust
- Mechanical knowledge combined with mechanic experience or service technician background is highly desirable
- Familiarity with automotive sales processes and automobile sales techniques is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in cash handling and record-keeping
