Job Summary:
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Lumber Yard Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a lumber yard or similar environment, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. As a Lumber Yard Associate, you will be responsible for assisting customers, handling and preparing lumber materials, and maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the yard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assist them in locating and selecting lumber and building materials.
- Load and unload lumber and other building materials for customer pick-up and deliveries.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move and organize materials safely.
- Ensure the lumber yard is clean, organized, and free of hazards at all times.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors of low inventory or damaged materials.
- Cut lumber to customer specifications using saws and other cutting tools as required.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient yard operations and excellent customer service.
- Assist with preparing customer orders for delivery, ensuring accuracy and timely dispatch.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a lumber yard, construction site, or similar environment preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other equipment safely; forklift certification is a plus.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs or more).
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and helpful attitude.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for measuring and cutting materials accurately.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to safety and following all company procedures and protocols.

- Store Hours 7am - 5pm
- Overtime

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
