Capital Cardiology Associates (CCA) is seeking an outpatient Registered Dietitian (RD) to join our team in the Albany office. CCA is a fast-paced cardiology practice that provides service to 80,000 patients in the Capital Region and beyond. CCA has RD’s integrated into our Intensive Cardiac Rehab program powered by Pritikin, as well as in our robust Cardiometabolic Team that is ever evolving and continues to grow.
The initial focus of the position will be to provide temporary coverage for the Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation. The remaining time will be dedicated to seeing other referred CCA patients for support with cardiometabolic health, including but is not limited to, weight management, cardiovascular disease and hyperlipidemia.

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To
- Performs nutrition assessment, follow ups, and patient education.
- Performs all responsibilities/duties required by Registered Dietitian as defined in the scope of practice, to ensure that the needs of patients are addressed.
- Conducts and coordinates outpatient nutritional counseling sessions and services. Follows Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Medical Nutrition Therapy and other appropriate nutrition counseling protocols.
- Acts as an educational resource for health care team personnel including patients, family members and community.
- Provide coverage as instructor or assistant in presenting nutrition-related classes for the Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation program, including workshops and cooking related classes.
- Complete progress notes and documentation in medical record.
- Develops educational materials and tools as needed.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Master’s degree from Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics
- Current certification with State of New York as a Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist
- Current registration with Commission on Dietetic Registration
- NPI at time of hire is strongly preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in healthcare is preferred
- Counseling experience is preferred
- Experience with Pritikin Cardiac Rehabilitation Curriculum is plus

Salary : $79,040 - $83,200
