Capital Bank is hiring a Commercial Banking Relationship Manager/Market President to grow commercial lending and deposit relationships, support local businesses, and serve as a trusted financial partner in the Greater Houston market.
This role is a strong fit for an experienced commercial banking professional who enjoys business development, portfolio management, community engagement, and helping clients find practical financial solutions.
In this full-time, on-site position based in Sugar Land, TX, you will develop new business, deepen existing client relationships, grow deposits, identify lending opportunities, and contribute to the Bank’s strategic growth goals.
About the Role
You will:
· Develop new commercial banking relationships while strengthening existing client partnerships.
· Grow a balanced portfolio of commercial loans, deposits, treasury management services, and operating accounts.
· Identify client needs and deliver tailored lending, deposit, and treasury solutions.
· Analyze financial information, evaluate credit requests, and recommend appropriate loan structures.
· Manage portfolio quality by monitoring past dues, overdrafts, documentation exceptions, and policy exceptions.
· Partner with lending, treasury management, retail banking, and operations teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
· Represent Capital Bank through community involvement, networking, and local business development activities.
What We’re Looking For
· Commercial banking experience with a focus on business development, relationship management, lending, and deposits.
· Proven ability to generate commercial loan growth, deposit growth, and fee income opportunities.
· Strong financial analysis, credit evaluation, and portfolio management skills.
· Excellent communication, networking, presentation, and client service abilities.
· Sound judgment, strong accountability, and the ability to balance growth opportunities with prudent risk management.
· A collaborative, community-minded approach and a commitment to building long-term relationships.
