Position Purpose
As a key player on the Technology Team, the Senior Business Systems Analyst plays a critical role in driving successful delivery of Strategic Projects, new technical solutions, and Technology initiatives by acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and delivery teams.

- Working closely with technology teams (Project Management, Developer, Data, QA, and Implementation, Vendor) to successfully deliver new solutions and ensure the intended business outcomes and value are realized.
- Partnering with business leaders to understand problems, evaluate options, and articulate clear business cases.
- Translating those needs into well‑defined business and functional requirements that enable predictable, high‑quality delivery.
Position Responsibilities
Business Partnership & Business Case Development
- Partner closely with business leaders and subject matter experts to understand business objectives, pain points, risks, and opportunities.
- Facilitate discovery conversations to clarify problems, define desired outcomes, and evaluate solution options.
- Develop and articulate clear, structured business cases, including problem statements, scope, assumptions, benefits, risks, budget and success metrics.
- Support prioritization decisions by helping stakeholders understand trade‑offs, value, and delivery implications.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business partners throughout the lifecycle of initiatives.
- Lead end‑to‑end requirements activities for complex initiatives, from discovery through delivery.
- Elicit, analyze, document, and validate: Business requirements, Functional and non‑functional requirements, Process flows and current/future state definitions, Data and reporting requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear, consumable artifacts (e.g., user stories, acceptance criteria, requirements documents) that engineering and delivery teams can execute against.
- Ensure requirements are traceable to business objectives and measurable outcomes.
- Manage scope and requirement changes, partnering with stakeholders to assess impact and make informed decisions.
- Work closely with product managers, project managers, engineers, data teams, and QA to support successful execution.
- Serve as the primary point of clarity for business intent throughout delivery.
- Participate in delivery checkpoints and agile ceremonies as needed to ensure alignment.
- Proactively identify gaps, risks, or ambiguities and drive resolution.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
- 6–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst.
- Experience supporting technology‑enabled initiatives in financial services or other regulated environments preferred.
- Proven ability to understand business problems and translate them into clear business cases and actionable requirements.
- Strong experience partnering directly with business stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Experience working in financial services environments, with exposure to core banking, digital banking, deposit and lending, CRM, integration, and data platforms.
- Familiarity with financial services applications and solutions such as:
- CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce)
- Core banking systems (e.g., Fiserv)
- Digital and online banking platforms (e.g., Q2)
- Digital account opening and application platforms (e.g., MANTL)
- Loan origination and credit platforms (e.g., Abrigo)
- Integration and middleware solutions (e.g., MuleSoft)
- Cloud based data platforms and analytics environments (e.g., Azure, Snowflake)
- Experience working with system integrators and vendor provided solutions, including the ability to translate business needs into vendor requirements and evaluate solution options.
- Ability to quickly learn new platforms and apply prior domain and system knowledge to unfamiliar technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and facilitation skills.
- Experience working in agile, waterfall and/or hybrid delivery environments.
- Comfort operating independently in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
- Strong technical fluency and the ability to provide direction and clarity across business and technology teams.
- Solid understanding of modern technology delivery environments, including: Application development and system integrations, APIs, data flows, platform‑based architectures and Cloud‑based and vendor‑hosted solutions
- Experience preferred with banking applications and solutions:
- Ability to understand and discuss technical trade‑offs with engineering, data, and product teams, and clearly communicate implications back to business stakeholders.
- Experience defining functional and non‑functional requirements, including performance, security, scalability, and compliance considerations.
- Familiarity with agile and hybrid delivery models, including backlog management, user stories, acceptance criteria, and iterative delivery.
- Comfort working with technical documentation, diagrams, and artifacts to support shared understanding across teams.

Compensation
- Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 annually. Final determination of where you are at in the salary range is based on numerous factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, skill set, education, and ability to meet qualifications within the job description.
- We are hiring in: MD, DC, VA, PA, DE, NC, SC, FL, IN, IL. Candidates in other locations will receive the pay range tied to their specific area.
- Additional Compensation: This role will include a yearly annual target bonus based on individual performance.
- This is a hybrid role. (highly qualified candidates may be eligible for a 100% remote working arrangement)
