What You'll DoAs a Veterinary Technician/Assistant, you'll play a vital role in caring for our surgery and internal medicine patients. Every day is different, giving you the opportunity to continually build your skills while working alongside experienced specialists.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing compassionate nursing care to hospitalized patients
- Assisting with appointments, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
- Placing IV catheters and collecting blood samples
- Administering medications and IV fluids
- Monitoring anesthesia and patient recovery
- Performing laboratory testing and radiographs
- Completing accurate patient assessments and medical records
- Identifying changes in patient condition and communicating with doctors
- Educating clients and providing excellent customer service
- Working collaboratively to keep our hospital running smoothly

Required:
- Minimum of 3 years of recent veterinary technician experience
- Proficiency with IV catheter placement and venipuncture
- Strong understanding of medical calculations, including injectable medications and CRIs
- Knowledge of common small animal diseases and veterinary terminology
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Preferred:
- Veterinary Technician Certification (LVT/CVT/RVT)
