- Safely operate wheelchair van to transport clients to medical appointments, dialysis centers, and special events.
- Securing passengers and providing friendly customer service as needed.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met and vehicles are in top condition.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS and traffic updates while adhering to scheduled pick-up and drop-off times.
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, clients, and healthcare providers to coordinate pickups, drop-offs, and special requests.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Proven experience as a NEMT driver highly preferred but not required, bus driver, or limousine chauffeurs are also welcomed.
- Must be over 25 years of age with clean driving record per insurance requirements.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of local routes, traffic laws, and safety regulations related to commercial driving.
- The ideal candidate should be within manageable driving distance of starting point in Gaithersburg MD
- Physical ability to safely wheel passengers into and out of the vehicles.
