Salary: This professional position follows the Collective Bargaining Agreement Salary Schedule, starting at Master's, Step 1 - $58,962 for the 25/26 SY
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7.5 hours/day, 190 days/year
Job Goal: To build capacity within educational teams in the areas of the best instructional practices, compliance with special education regulations, and the development of quality programming. The lead coach will provide coaching and modeling for staff as well as both formal and informal professional development in these areas as needed. In addition, the Lead Coach facilitates intake meetings, completes and supports IEP revisions aligned with regulatory and instructional requirements, and serves as a liaison to district representatives seeking placements and/or services for students.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Support the instructional development of all teachers in understanding the curriculum, benchmarking, varied assessments, and data analysis.
- Assist teachers with curriculum resources, materials, tools, information, etc. to support classroom instruction and planning, including new resources.
- Model lessons and specially designed instruction in classrooms on a daily/weekly basis.
- Assist teachers with planning and pacing of lessons, the development of differentiated instruction, and the selection of best practices to meet the needs of their students.
- Support teachers by helping them with educational and behavioral strategies by observing, modeling, and meeting during planning times.
- Informally observe, in a non-evaluative manner, lessons and provide feedback for a teacher’s professional growth and students’ success.
- Develop staff members’ knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors through a variety of professional development targeted topics and designs.
- Support teachers and administrators in gathering, analyzing, and using data to improve instruction on all levels.
- Build strong relationships with teachers, administrators, other coaches, and district leaders.
- Work cooperatively and effectively with colleagues, including creating and nurturing a professional community of adult learners.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities and strong interpersonal skills, including giving and receiving constructive feedback.
- Demonstrate expertise in oral and written communication.
- Model and support teachers through the reevaluation and IEP development and revision processes, facilitates intake meetings, and serves as a liaison to district representatives
- Assist with curriculum development.
- Coach new teachers through CAIU processes and procedures.
- Partner with Program Assistants to ensure student information is clearly, accurately, and consistently communicated in accordance with programmatic and regulatory requirements.
- Assume any other responsibilities as assigned by Program or Team Director or his/her designee.

Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Master's Degree required.
2. PA Instructional II - Special Education preferred.
3. Minimum 5 years’ experience teaching, with a record of successfully impacting student achievement and working successfully with students who have the greatest needs.
4. Full certification in Safe Crisis Management (SCM), Safety Care, or other restraint management system as required by the assignment.
5. Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback.
6. Strong oral and written language and communication skills.
7. Ability to facilitate adult learning in a supportive and non-directive manner.
8. Proficient computer skills and knowledge including use of Word, Excel, Outlook, and other software as may be required.
Salary : $58,962 - $85,855
