QUALIFICATIONS (Preferred Knowledge & Skills)
Previous experience as an Athletic Trainer at the high school level or above preferred
Knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, physiology, nutrition, and first aid
Knowledge of symptoms and treatment of athletic injuries, physical fitness, hygiene, and safety procedures
Knowledge of protective equipment, disinfectant techniques, taping/bandaging, and therapeutic modalities
Knowledge of record-keeping techniques and general training principles
Understanding of safety precautions and procedures in athletic environments
Knowledge of CIF Bluebook Constitution and Bylaws; ability to adhere to CIF and state regulations
Ability to administer standard and advanced first aid and therapeutic techniques within scope of practice
Ability to operate therapeutic equipment and machines
Ability to work collaboratively with parents, staff, coaches, medical personnel, and administration
Strong written and verbal communication skills
REQUIREMENTS (Must Possess at Time of Hire)
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university
Certified Athletic Trainer (NATA or BOC)
Valid California Driver’s License
Current CPR and First Aid Certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association)
Valid Concussion Awareness Certificate (NFHS Learning Center)
Valid Heat Illness Prevention Certificate (NFHS Learning Center)
Current TB clearance (Mantoux, PPD, TST, or TB Risk Assessment completed by a medical professional)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as liaison between the school, families, and community to promote a positive athletic program
Provide injury evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention services to student-athletes
Follow medical directives issued by physicians and allied health professionals
Communicate effectively with coaches, staff, and administration
Maintain accurate medical and treatment records
Establish schedules, manage priorities, and work independently
Uphold CIF and state rules, regulations, and safety standards
Maintain a safe and professional athletic training facility
Report to School Administration or Principal Designee (e.g., Athletic Director)

Compensation Options (pending final confirmation):
Hourly Rate: $50.00 per hour and/or
Monthly Rate: $6,363.60 per month (Single Rate)
(Annual equivalent dependent upon assigned work year.)
Work Year: 10- or 11-month schedule, as assigned
Start Date: ASAP
