Materials Stockroom Manager | Aviation Part 145 Repair Station
Position Summary
Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the stockroom to ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant handling of materials, parts, and tooling in line with production schedules and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day stockroom activities including receiving, storage, issuance, and returns of engine parts, consumables, and tooling
- Lead, train, and schedule stockroom staff to meet operational deadlines and compliance standards
- Maintain accurate inventory records within Quantum; manage cycle counts, audits, and discrepancy resolution
- Coordinate closely with production, operations, engineering, and quality teams to ensure material availability and minimise downtime
- Monitor shelf-life items and ensure correct handling of traceable, serialized, and hazardous materials
- Support the development and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) within the stockroom
- Identify and implement improvements to material flow, space utilisation, and overall efficiency
- Oversee shipping and receiving workflows, ensuring accuracy, safety, and productivity
- Ensure full compliance with FAA, EASA, AS9100, and internal quality standards
- Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits through accurate documentation and traceability
- Promote a safe working environment in line with OSHA and company safety requirements
Experience & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred
- 3–5 years’ experience in stockroom, warehouse, or materials management (aviation MRO environment strongly preferred)
- Experience within warehouse/logistics environments handling inventory values of $10M
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience essential
- Proficient in Quantum and Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of FAA and aviation material traceability requirements
