We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data & Business Intelligence Engineer with over 10 years of expertise in data modeling, visualization, database engineering, and production support. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL Server, and ETL tools, along with strong exposure to data engineering, performance tuning, and enterprise production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Visualization & BI Development:
Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau
Build visually compelling insights using charts, maps, heatmaps, and advanced visualizations
Develop complex DAX calculations, KPIs, and time intelligence metrics
Create and manage calculated fields and advanced analytics logic
Publish reports to Power BI Service and manage data refresh schedules
Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) to control access
Data Engineering & Modeling:
Design and implement data models (relationships, hierarchies, calculated columns)
Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading using Power Query, SSIS, and Informatica
Build scalable and efficient data warehouse solutions
Work with structured and semi-structured data including SQL Server and MongoDB
Database Development & Administration:
Develop and optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions
Design and maintain database objects (tables, views, indexes)
Perform query optimization and performance tuning
Implement indexing and partitioning strategies to improve performance
Manage SQL Server environments (2008/2012/2016 & Azure SQL)
Production Support & Operations:
Monitor and maintain production systems ensuring high availability and reliability
Handle incident management, RCA, and ticket tracking (ServiceNow/JIRA)
Support code deployment, release management, and production fixes
Perform environment monitoring (SIT, UAT, Prod) and validations
Database Maintenance & Reliability:
Implement backup and recovery strategies (full, differential, log backups)
Design and test disaster recovery plans
Perform regular maintenance: index rebuilds, statistics updates, patching
Set up monitoring tools for database health and performance
Data Migration & Performance Optimization:
Lead data migration initiatives from legacy systems to modern platforms
Optimize large datasets using advanced data structures and indexing techniques
Improve query performance and reduce load times significantly
Collaboration & Delivery:
Participate in full SDLC lifecycle (requirements → design → development → testing → deployment)
Create Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) and technical documentation
Gather requirements and convert them into JIRA stories and deliverables
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in agile environments
Maintain documentation in Confluence

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $34.67/hour - $54.18/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
