Role Overview
We are seeking a senior Scrum Master with program‑level delivery experience to support a Communications Agile Release Train (ART) within a large, complex insurance environment.
This role is delivery‑focused and execution‑oriented. You will partner closely with Product, Architecture, and Release leadership to drive predictable Agile outcomes across multiple teams, internal platforms, and third‑party vendors in a co‑sourced delivery model.
This is not a traditional PM or Agile Coach role—hands‑on ART execution, dependency management, and delivery ownership are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate core Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand‑ups, Reviews, Retrospectives) for one or more teams within the Communications ART
- Support PI Planning, iteration execution, and ART‑level ceremonies in alignment with SAFe practices
- Proactively identify, track, and manage cross‑team, cross‑ART, shared‑service, and vendor dependencies
- Coordinate delivery timelines with internal platform / integration teams and external vendors / partners
- Remove impediments, manage risks, and drive predictable sprint and PI delivery
- Maintain and communicate program‑level status, risks, and dependency dashboards
- Partner closely with the Release Train Engineer (RTE), Product Managers, Product Owners, and Solution Leads
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 years hands‑on experience as a Scrum Master
- Strong experience working in SAFe / Agile Release Train (ART) environments
- Proven program‑level or large‑scale delivery experience on complex initiatives
- Demonstrated success managing cross‑team and third‑party dependencies
- Experience working in co‑sourced delivery models (onshore/offshore)
- Strong stakeholder communication and facilitation skills
- Proficiency with JIRA, Azure DevOps, and/or Rally
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Communications, Digital, or MarTech ARTs
- Exposure to Customer Communications platforms (OpenText Exstream, xPression, Quadient, Adobe, etc.)
- Insurance domain experience
- SAFe certifications (SSM / SASM) and/or PMP
