Company is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Scrum Master to lead complex Insurance technology programs and Agile delivery teams for strategic client engagements.
The individual will be responsible for end-to-end project execution, Scrum leadership, stakeholder management, financial governance, delivery excellence, and continuous improvement across multiple workstreams.
The ideal candidate will have deep experience in Insurance domain transformation initiatives, Agile delivery, stakeholder engagement, and managing geographically distributed teams across North America and offshore locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Agile Delivery & Scrum Leadership:
Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams.
Facilitate all Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
Coach teams on Agile and Scrum best practices.
Remove impediments and drive continuous process improvement.
Monitor team velocity, sprint health, and delivery predictability.
Partner with Product Owners to prioritize and maintain product backlogs.
Project & Program Management:
Manage end-to-end project delivery for Insurance transformation initiatives.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, RAID logs, and governance artifacts.
Track scope, schedule, budget, quality, and resource utilization.
Drive delivery governance and ensure adherence to company delivery standards.
Manage dependencies across multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
Provide proactive risk identification and mitigation planning.
Stakeholder Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for client and leadership stakeholders.
Facilitate executive steering committee meetings and governance reviews.
Communicate project health, risks, financials, and escalations to leadership.
Build strong relationships with business, technology, operations, and vendor partners.
Financial & Delivery Governance:
Manage project financials including forecasting, burn rates, effort tracking, and budget adherence.
Support SOW governance, change requests, and resource planning.
Track project KPIs and delivery metrics.
Ensure compliance with organizational quality and audit requirements.
Team Leadership:
Lead cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Developers, QA Engineers, Architects, and DevOps resources.
Coordinate onsite and offshore delivery teams.
Mentor junior Project Managers, Scrum Masters, and team members.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
10 years of overall IT delivery experience.
5 years of Project Management experience.
5 years of Scrum Master experience leading Agile teams.
Experience delivering medium to large Insurance programs.
Experience managing distributed onsite/offshore teams.
Technical & Methodology Skills:
Agile, Scrum, SAFe delivery experience.
Expertise with Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, or similar Agile tools.
Strong knowledge of SDLC and Agile delivery models.
Experience with cloud modernization and digital transformation programs preferred.
Strong understanding of release management and DevOps practices.
Insurance Domain Expertise:
Property & Casualty (P&C), Life Insurance, Annuities, or Group Benefits experience preferred.
Understanding of Insurance operations, policy administration, claims, underwriting, and customer servicing processes.
Leadership Skills:

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $38.14/hour - $59.59/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
