The Product Owner PO in the Auto Insurance domain is responsible for maximizing business value by translating insurance business requirements into clear prioritized user stories for Agile delivery teams The role acts as a bridge between business stakeholders underwriting claims and technology teams ensuring solutions meet regulatory operational and customer needs
Key Responsibilities:
Own and manage the product backlog for Auto Insurance applications
Gather and analyze business requirements related to Auto Policy Quotes Rating Underwriting Endorsements Billing and Claims
Translate business needs into user stories with clear acceptance criteria
Prioritize backlog items based on business value regulatory needs and dependencies
Work closely with Scrum Master development QA and architecture teams during sprint execution
Participate in PI Planning Sprint Planning Reviews and Retrospectives
Provide clarifications to the team during development and ensure alignment with business intent
Validate delivered features against Auto Insurance workflows and compliance requirements
Coordinate with stakeholders including Business Owners SMEs and Engagement Leads
Support UAT and ensure solutions meet definition of done
Auto Insurance Domain Knowledge Required
Strong understanding of Auto Insurance lifecycle
Quoting and Rating
Policy issuance and renewals
Endorsements and cancellations
Claims intake and processing
Familiarity with coverage types Liability Collision Comprehensive Medical Property Damage
Awareness of regulatory and compliance considerations applicable to Auto Insurance
Experience working with Policy Administration Billing or Claims systems
Required Skills Experience:
Experience as a Product Owner Business Analyst in Agile environments
Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology
Excellent stakeholder communication and prioritization skills
Experience using Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence
Ability to work with cross functional and distributed teams
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $40.45/hour - $63.20/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
