Required Qualifications:
Handson mainframe testing experience across CICS COBOL JCL DB2 VSAM
Proficiency with tools FileAidFile Manager Xpediter Endevor SPUFI
Ability to customize and run JCLs for the test environment using production JCLs
DB2 database testing and SQL querying skills
Experience analyzing abends from JES spool and using debugging tools
Ability to analyze COBOL and DB2 code as needed
Strong experience with HP Quality Center ALM and Jira for test management and defect tracking
Knowledge of testing methodologies techniques phases and best practices
Excellent communication organization collaboration and problemsolving skills
Responsibilities:
Analyze requirements and technical design documents to derive test scenarios and detailed test cases
Prepare and maintain test data using tools eg File Aid File Manager SPUFI
Customize and execute JCLs to run batch jobs and validate outcomes
Execute functional integration and regression tests for CICS online and batch components
Perform DB2 testing with SQL validation verify VSAM files and datasets
Investigate and analyze abends from JES spool debug using tools such as Xpediter
Review and understand COBOLDB2 code to trace logic and root cause defects
Log and track defects using Quality Center support triage and retesting
Identify and escalate risks and issues to leads managers promptly
Provide daily status progress reports and actively participate in project calls and meetings
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $23.75/hour - $37.11/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
