The Guidewire Integration Developer is responsible for designing developing and implementing seamless integrations between Guidewire Insurance Suite Policy Center and other internal and external systems
This role involves working with APIs web services and middleware to ensure efficient and scalable data exchange aligned with business and technical requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Integration Development:
Design and implement integrations between Guidewire Insurance Suite and third party applications such as payment systems data warehouses and document management systems
Develop custom integration components using Guidewire Cloud APIs REST Api IG app and messaging frameworks which include APP Events
Configure messaging patterns such as point to point pubsub and event driven integrations
Middleware and System Design:
Work with middleware platforms such as MuleSoft Apache Camel or similar technologies to manage data exchange
Design robust and reusable integration templates that support enterprise architecture
Optimize integration pipelines for performance scalability and error handling
Collaboration with Teams:
Collaborate with business analysts and architects to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical designs
Coordinate with development teams and QA engineers to ensure smooth data flow between systems
Work closely with stakeholders during user acceptance testing UAT to resolve issues and refine integrations
Data Mapping and Transformation:
Define data mapping rules and transformations to ensure seamless interoperability between systems
Handle data enrichment and validation processes within integration components
System Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
Monitor the performance of integrations and resolve any issues or bottlenecks
Troubleshoot and debug integration failures and errors in production environments
Ensure error logging and notification mechanisms are in place
Documentation and Standards:
Maintain comprehensive documentation for all integrations including design specifications API details and data flow diagrams
Adhere to development standards coding guidelines and best practices in integration design
Conduct knowledge sharing sessions and mentor junior developers on integration practices
Upgrades and Enhancements:
Assist in upgrading Guidewire modules and ensure compatibility with existing integrations
Implement enhancements to improve integration efficiency and meet evolving business needs
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
Experience:
3 years of experience in developing integrations within Guidewire InsuranceSuite focusing on PolicyCenter
Proven expertise in building and deploying enterprisescale integrations
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Java Gosu and Guidewire APIs
Strong experience with RESTFul services IG App Cloud API AppEvents and Apache Camel
Solid understanding of Guidewire data models plugins and messaging mechanisms
Hands-on experience with XML JSON and data transformation tools
Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases like Oracle or SQL Server
Familiarity with DevOps tools and processes including CICD pipelines and version control systems eg Git
Soft Skills:
Strong problem solving and debugging skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to engage with both technical and business stakeholders
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast paced environment
Certifications Mandatory:
Guidewire Associate Certified
Certification Preferred:
ACE certified in Integrations
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $45.34/hour - $70.85/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
