The Electrical Technician will perform bench-level testing of Battery Management System (BMS) and Zonal ECUs, supporting validation, troubleshooting, and quality assurance of automotive electrical and electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform electronics bench-level testing for BMS and Zonal ECUs.
Set up, configure, and maintain test benches and lab equipment for ECU validation.
Execute functional and electrical validation tests for battery systems, zonal controllers, and related components.
Develop and execute test cases, log defects, and support issue resolution.
Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware/software issues using tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic equipment
Support ECU flashing, configuration, and firmware validation activities.
Analyze test results and prepare test reports and documentation.
Collaborate with engineering teams (hardware, software, validation) to resolve defects and improve system performance.
Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and testing standards.
Mandatory skills:
Strong experience in electronic bench testing / ECU validation
Good understanding of BMS systems and battery electronics (cells, modules, thermal management)
Knowledge of Zonal architecture and vehicle electrical distribution systems
Hands-on experience with test instruments (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.)
Understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical layouts
Experience in test execution, defect tracking, and validation processes
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Optional skills:
Experience with HiL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testing / test benches
Familiarity with tools like CANoe / CANalyzer / Vector tools
Knowledge of PCBA, board-level debugging, and ECU hardware validation
Exposure to high-voltage battery systems and EV architecture
Basic scripting or automation experience (Python, CAPL, etc.
Knowledge of automotive safety and standards (ISO 26262, quality processes)
Experience with diagnostics (UDS) and ECU communication
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $32.36/hour - $50.56/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
