We’re looking for a collaborative Electrical Systems Engineer to support the certification of cutting-edge aircraft systems for the twin-engine tiltrotor aircraft program. In this role, you’ll work closely with suppliers and regulatory experts to ensure systems meet rigorous aerospace standards through testing, documentation, and on-site engineering support. You’ll be part of a team that values precision, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.
Your Role
- Support supplier qualification activities, including environmental qualification and EMI qualification reviews, ensuring conformity requirements are covered for systems and equipment under compliance testing
- Coordinate the substantiation of type documentation required to meet approved certification basis, providing expertise for resolution of non-compliance issues
- Release test plans and reports in accordance with program milestones while working closely with Designated Engineering Representatives (DER) to demonstrate compliance with technical, programmatic, and certification requirements
- Support on-site prototype technical activities and production line as a sustaining engineer for the twin-engine tiltrotor aircraft program
- Prepare, verify, and integrate applicable certification plans, reports, and oversight activities which demonstrate compliance with aerospace regulations
Your Skills and Experience
- Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical systems installations, aeronautical design standards, and aerospace certification procedures, including FAA processes (preferred).
- Proven ability to create and communicate engineering reports across diverse, complex, and multicultural organizations, with excellent presentation skills suited for all levels.
- Solid understanding of engineering methodologies, tools, and processes, with hands-on experience using MS Office, PLM tools (VPM, DBT, ENOVIA), SAP fundamentals, and CAD software (SolidWorks, Catia V5).
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical/Computer Engineering or a related field, with 5 years of relevant experience.
