About the Job

Capgemini Engineering is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (Hardware Design & Validation) to join our engineering team in Santa Clara, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing, validating, and integrating digital and mixed-signal hardware for networking and security products. This role requires hands-on experience with high-speed interfaces, board bring-up, debugging, manufacturing support, and cross-functional collaboration throughout the product development lifecycle.

As a key member of the hardware engineering team, you will contribute to the design and delivery of next-generation networking and security platforms, ensuring product performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.


Your Role

  • Design and develop digital and mixed-signal hardware for networking and security products.
  • Perform schematic capture, component selection, and interface design.
  • Board bring-up, debugging, validation, and system integration.
  • Work on high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, USB, and SerDes.
  • Review signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI), and reliability analysis.
  • Collaborate with firmware and software teams during platform development.
  • Support manufacturing teams during prototype and production phases.
  • Investigate field issues and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.


Your Skills and Experience

  • Electrical Engineer with 7 years of relevant experience in
  • Experience with networking products, switches, routers, firewalls, or security appliances.
  • Experience with manufacturing and compliance testing (EMI/EMC, Safety, Reliability).
  • Experience with digital and mixed-signal hardware for networking and security products.
  • Experience with schematic capture, component selection, and interface design
  • Experience with board bring-up, debugging, validation, and system integration.
  • Experience with high-speed interfaces (PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, USB, and SerDes)


The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $68,911 - $161,544/Year

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
