Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
- Help maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Assist with mobility and transportation of patients within the facility.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding patient needs and changes in condition.
- Document patient care activities accurately using electronic health record systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks.
- Strong knowledge of physiology to understand patient needs effectively.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks is preferred.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy is maintained.
- Experience in home care, nursing homes, ICU, or hospice care settings is a plus.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is highly desirable.
- Compassionate demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
