Overview: Cape Leisure is seeking a Food Supervisor to lead operations at our brand-new Caverns Café food truck, located inside the beautiful Florida Caverns State Park. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of something new—serving fresh, fast, and flavorful food to park guests. Primary Responsibilities:

· Working in the Cavern’s Café trailer, preparing hot and cold food items to order in an accurate and timely manner.

· Clean kitchen, kitchen equipment, and storage areas at the end of each day as required.

· Assist with menu development, pricing, and "specials" recipes.

· Must supervise kitchen staff, and assist with weekly scheduling.

· Must maintain and monitor food costs.

· Place weekly orders with food purveyors.

· Ensure all food safety guidelines are followed, including but not limited to food temperatures, avoidance of food contamination, proper storage, general cleanliness of the kitchen and storage facilities, and hygiene of food service staff.

· Make suggestions for adjustments to menus, ingredients, and procedures that would lead to better food quality and/or cost savings.

· During slower time periods, function as cashier as well.

· Maintain a good knowledge of the Park and current events in order to expedite guest inquiries.

· Other duties as required.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

· Experience in Kitchen experience, preferably in a “short order” environment.

· At a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

· At a minimum, 2 years of experience required.

· ServSafe Food Managers Certification required. Must be willing to obtain certification within 60 days of start date.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to move, stand, stoop, and bend for an entire 8-hour shift. Tasks require consistent use of both arms and legs.

· Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds and carry for short distances.

· Must be willing to tolerate working outdoors and in warm interior environments.

· Must be able to visually inspect the condition of facilities and equipment.

· Must pass a drug test.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
