Summary
The Diagnostic Technologist (Radiographer) is fully competent to perform all radiographic/fluoroscopic procedures for the diagnosis of specific diseases or conditions.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Minimum 2 years of experience preferred. New graduates may apply that are ARRT registered or registry eligible. But new graduates that are registry eligible must be registered by ARRT in Radiography within twelve months of hire date. You must maintain a current AHA CPR certification through Cape Fear Valley Training and Development department. You must demonstrate positive interpersonal skills. Verbal and written skills required. You must demonstrate good patient care, demonstrate knowledge of growth and development and understands the range of treatment needed for all age groups. You must provide care based on the patient’s developmental need. Experienced in the treatment of and interacts effectively with patients of all ages.This position requires a lot of standing and bending. You must have manual dexterity and visual acuity. You must have mobility to assume awkward positions. You must have the mobility to respond to emergency situations. You must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time. You must be able to bend and lift. This position may require to you come in contact with skin, eye, or mucous membrane and you may come in contact with blood or other potentially infectious material.
