JOB DUTIES
Provide technical ophthalmic and administrative assistance to the ophthalmic medical staff. The Ophthalmic Assistant is the central point for coordinating patient care/patient flow within our practice.
Accountabilities include:
- Promptly and professionally assists the doctor in patient care.
- Performs technical workups, patient interviews and special testing.
- Communicates with patients regarding follow-up care, surgeries, procedures, changes in schedule, symptoms, surgery scheduling, etc.
- Returns phone calls to patients and pharmacies.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
Job Type: Full-time
