- Assists with large water meters, testing, repairs, and replacements as needed.
- Verifies line sizes and line splits.
- Install and program Automated Meter Reading (AMR) and Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) devices in accordance with company procedures.
- Make repairs to service lines, meters, and related equipment.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and repair or replace meters and AMR/AMI Devices as needed.
- Works independently and assists other technicians as directed.
- Provides accurate and detailed information entered into the work order system as requested.
- Operates and maintains an assigned truck safely and per CFPUA's SOP.
- Sets up and maintains a safe work zone per CFPUA's SOP.
- Performs rotating scheduled 24/7 emergency on-call work.
- Pulls and resets meters.
- Attends regular information and training meetings.
- Responds to water system emergencies.
- Performs other related job duties as assigned.
