Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our dynamic team in a water mitigation company. Will often used equipment like moistue meters, as part of the restoration process for properties damaged by water, fire, or mold. Key duties include accurately collecting data, measuring and recording moisture content, documenting findings with photos and sketches, and communicating these details to clients and team members to guide the mitigation and drying plan. This role is essential for establishing the extent of the damage, determining the best course of action, and supporting the overall restoration project.
Duties
- Inspect, evaluate, and document damage in residential or commercial properties caused by events like water leaks, fires, or mold growth.
- Utilize tools like moisture meters to accurately measure and record moisture levels in various materials, such as walls, floors, and ceilings.
- Maintain detailed records, photos, and diagrams to document the damage and the progress of the mitigation process.
- Clearly communicate job status, work performed, and client concerns to team members, clients, and managers.
- Support the overall mitigation process by assisting with equipment setup, data entry into job management systems, and quality control.
- Strong skills in creating accurate sketches, writing detailed journals, and takin photos for project files.
- Basic computer knowledge for data entry into job management and data tracking systems.
- Ability to perform physical labor, lift equipment, and work for prolonged periods in various environments.
- Adherence to all safety protocols and guidelines on every job site.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work
- Experience using moisture meters and hygrometers
- Knowledge of drying equipment
- Basic understanding of water mitigation procedures
- Ability to record accurate moisture readings
- Familiarity with documentation requirements
