JOB Definition:
Deliver classroom instruction to college students through diverse methods, including lectures, demonstrations, laboratory/studio exercises, handouts, interactive Q&A sessions, and assessments. The teaching load encompasses a variety of 2-D Media Art courses, such as Drawing, 2-D Design, Painting, and Art Appreciation, aligned with the AFA-Visual Arts program.

Maintain punctuality and professionalism at all times.
SAFETY DUTIES:
Candidates are required to submit OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS for all degrees obtained prior to their first day of work or hire date. If the highest level of education is a High School diploma or equivalent, proof of completion is required.
Candidates who have obtained their education outside of the US and its territories must have their academic degree(s) validated, at their own expense, by an outside credential evaluation service as equivalent to the Baccalaureate or Master's degree conferred by a regionally accredited college or university in the United States.

Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Deliver classroom and studio/laboratory instruction to students.
- Design lesson plans and organize classroom activities effectively.
- Create and prepare supplementary materials to enhance textbook lessons.
- Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student performance.
- Maintain accurate grade records for individual student scores.
- Deliver classroom demonstrations focusing on materials, techniques, and the essential aspects of the 2-D media discipline.
- Design studio/laboratory assignments that provide hands-on experience where appropriate.
- Maintain precise records of student attendance and performance.
- Manage and monitor material and supply inventories for the course(s) taught.
- Ensure all required paperwork is completed promptly and accurately, including (but not limited to): class rosters, registration forms, pay sheets, attendance forms, and grade rosters.
Other Important Functions:
Maintain punctuality and professionalism at all times.
- Foster and support a friendly and collaborative working environment.
- Supervise and engage in field studies and assignments; accompany students on trips to provide guidance and instruction as needed.
- Carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
SAFETY DUTIES:
- Remain alert to safety aspects of studio material and equipment
- Provide assistance to students in handling materials and equipment during courses to ensure safe practices.
