Position Description: Middle School English Teacher for the 2026-2027 School Year. Full Time.

Major Responsibilities:

• Teach 5 sections of 7th grade English.
• Create an inviting and engaging classroom culture.
• Serve as a faculty advisor to assigned students.
• Provide a range of instructional and assessment strategies with technology to meet the needs of students.
• Provide instructional support to individual and small student groups.
• Communicate proactively and build relationships with students and families.
• Collaborate with departmental and divisional colleagues to create engaging lessons and foster a positive school culture.
• Track student data and uphold high behavioral and academic expectations.
• Performs other projects and duties as assigned, including proctoring a study hall.

Requirements

 Qualifications: 

· A strong understanding of Middle School student development and a passion for English, reading, writing, and literature. 

· Demonstrated knowledge of modern teaching methodologies, instructional techniques, and pedagogical principles. 

· An interest in and ability to contribute to extracurricular activities and a commitment to community and belonging.

· Ideal candidate has a demonstrated record of teaching excellence, a commitment to professional development, and the ability to motivate and encourage students academically and personally. 

Education:  Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:  Three or more years of Middle School teaching experience strongly preferred.

Equivalency: Directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience may be considered in place of the above requirements.
