Groundwater Treatment Plant Technician/Operator
📍 Sacramento Metro Area | 💵 Up to $32/hr, commensurate with experience | 🛫 Up to 10% travel
We are looking for a Groundwater Treatment Plant Technician/Operator to join our industry-leading environmental remediation team! In this role, you’ll operate, monitor, and maintain groundwater extraction and treatment systems (GETS) and soil vapor extraction (SVE) systems. Using SCADA and PLC systems, you’ll manage daily operations, troubleshoot mechanical and control systems, conduct groundwater and soil vapor sampling, and ensure regulatory compliance.
You'll also support site operations including landfill maintenance, contractor oversight, utility clearance, and environmental monitoring, contributing directly to important remediation projects that protect our communities and environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain groundwater and vapor treatment systems
- Manage submersible pumps, VFDs, MOVs, and fiber optic control systems
- Perform groundwater and process water sampling
- Conduct quarterly landfill inspections and soil gas monitoring
- Troubleshoot and repair system instrumentation and controls
- Coordinate daily field activities and contractor oversight
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma plus Technical College coursework (mechanical systems, electrical motors, communications)
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification
- Confined Space Entry/Rescue Certification
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Experience with SCADA and PLC operations, pumps, valves, and system instrumentation
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
- USACE Contractor Quality Management (CQM) Certification
- Environmental sampling training
