You must be friendly and able to move fast and help people get in and out with all of their items, quality, and quickness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble a variety of bakery items in the cases, including cakes, pastries, and bread, utilizing skills such as cake decorating and baking techniques.
• Handle food production tasks with precision, ensuring all products meet quality standards and food safety regulations.
• Package baked goods and deli products attractively to enhance presentation and customer appeal.
• Assist customers with selections, answer questions about products, and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery and deli areas, adhering to food handling and safety protocols.
• Support catering orders by preparing large quantities of baked goods or deli items for events.
• Prepare fresh food items for deli cases
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives, mixers, ovens, and other culinary tools, demonstrating strong knife skills and cooking techniques.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food preparation, baking, or a related culinary field is preferred; pastry experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with shoppers.
• Experience with cake decorating or pastry arts is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to learn is valued.
• Ability to stand for extended periods while performing physically demanding tasks such as packaging and food production.
• Basic kitchen skills including knife handling, baking techniques, and cooking methods.
