What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper/Data Entry Clerk (FT) position at Cape Coral Accounting Service Inc?
This position is not a remote position.
Accountant Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping: Enter data, maintain records, and produce financial reports.
- Prepare all financial statements and bank reconciliations.
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct bank, suppliers ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger.
- Process accounts receivable and accounts payable in a timely manner.
- Manage payroll duties to ensure employees are paid on time.
- Process monthly sales tax and quarterly payroll reports.
Accountant Qualifications:
- 2 years of work experience at an accounting firm or as a bookkeeper, cost accountant, management accountant, or similar position.
- Experience with Excel, Word, Microsoft
- Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Deadline focused.
- Strong eye for errors and irregularities.
Essential Functions:
- Preparation of bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Post adjusting entries as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of accounting concepts and software.
- Proficiency in Quickbooks, Excel, and Word.
- Additional hours are required during peak seasons.
- High proficiency in written and verbal English is required.
- Must be able to work independently. Manage time with deadlines.
- Must possess good communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and well-organized.
- Ability to operate office equipment and relevant software including but not limited to QuickBooks, and Microsoft Products.
- Effective time management skills to ensure project and tax deadlines are met.
